Thanks for the report. Are you doing off bank or boat? Any good secret spot for the newbie?

boat. Not much shore access on Sawyer.

no secret spots will be listed on an open web site. don't want 20 boats on the spot/spots each weekend. PM me. :-)

acually they aren't secret, most people would know the spots just by knowing about Bass and their habits and habitat.

You've been here for a year now, participate in the Bass Forum and you'll get plenty of answers there to any Bass question. Lots of members can help with any question. :-)

Sweet! This will be my first time trying out bass. I don't have a boat so will see if I want to try this lake. But nice catch!

Too bad the resort there doesn't rent boats anymore. But it's private now. I used to rent a boat and row around the lake back in '73/'74. There should be an ok/good boat on craig's list now and then. Even small boats for sale here on WaLakes now and then.

Yes, any boat would do. Depends on the weather/wind of course. The best 2 baits I use are crankbaits and senkos. Jigs, spinnerbaits, topwaters, plastic worms, Beavers, dropshot of course, all will catch fish on most any lake. To learn how to use those lures do a search on Youtube and there will be plenty of vids to watch. There are some vids here on WaLakes so look at those.
