A six hour fishing trip with great weather, good fun and pretty good fish. The warmer temps are stating the bass to move.
I saw two really nice ones but couldn't get them to bite.
Fished 11:15-5pm with partly sunny skies and little wind. Water temp had not warmed much though at about 64.5.
K. boated the first fish - a nice fat sculpin. (We all had a good laugh.) For the day K had the largest fish - a nice fat cuthroat of about 16-18" caught on a downrigger at 30' trolling a large crawdad bass lure. His other fish was a baby bass.
P. found the Pumpkinseeds and boated 9, 3 trout and 2 bass.
I got the largest bass, though still a youngster (3 bass total), 6 pumpkinseeds, and 2 trout. The big trout was substantial, made mad, crazy runs under and around the boat and as we were lifting him out of the water, got away.
Hot dogs on the BBQ and a broken downrigger added interest to the day.
