Back in Whatcom county after a fishing trip to the sunny dry east side. Landed a 20" 3 lbs. Rainbow at Sprague Lake. Oops, sorry this is about Silver Lake. Things are slowing down to the regular early morning of evening fishing. My old friend Phil and I hit the lake by 9:30 a.m. with lots of early action on the boy scout launch end of the lake. As always a green woolly bugger behind a silver scale smile blade did the trick. We ended up keeping 8, still the12-14 inch range. Beautiful day on the lake, however it was fairly windy most of the morning.
