We had some morning obligations with a community fundraiser so decided to fish afternoon to dusk, 3:15-9:15pm.
Park wasn't very busy but there was quite a bit of boating activity enjoying the beautiful day. Kayakers, peddle boats, row boats and two rafts tied together lead by a trolling motor and three guys enjoying fishing as much as we.

Water temps had warmed just enough to get the bass moving. Varied 66.5-69 degrees and the air temp was 65-70 with mostly sunny skies and for once only light occasional breeze. 61 fish were caught and released.

We continued to mark the deep trout or kokanee and K. scared two rainbows up on the downrigger, 1 trout plugging and 10 pumpkinseed and 7 young bass.

P. had the slowest day not landing any fish for several hours, then found the pumpkinseed and baby bass. He caught one so small it must have been born yesterday and was too embarrassed for us to get a pix. In all he boated 19 fish.

I barely took the lead with 22 fish. 7 bass (one of decent size), 12 pumpkinseed (one could have been a true bluegill which would be a first) and 3 rainbows. The largest hit on a plug in shallow water and provided lots of fun.

Today's fish were caught everywhere from the surface to 24'. All kinds of approaches brought fish.

We had our hamburger dinner on the BBQ on the back of the boat and called it a great day.
