Had a tough day out at Spirit Lake today. Three of us in the boat and only 5 fish caught from 0700-1145. Decided to stop after being blown around the lake all day long. Tried to get into protected coves to fish but wind was swirling and just menacing. OK enough complaining, on to the fishing.

Fishing with Capt Carl we started out with Senko's on docks and caught one nice 2.5lb fish then nothing for a couple hours. Switched over to drop shotting wood and lay downs. One more nice 2.5lb fish on a purple and pink curly tail worm. We tried deep, shallow, and in between, seems with all the wind the fish were just lock jawed.

Got this last one on a red drop shot worm when the fish was hidden under a log. Same thing another 2.5 lb fish. This was the only female the other two were males.

Water temps ranged from 65-69 degrees and saw tons of fry saw a bunch of beds but no fish sitting on them.
