Left Lake Chelan, arrived at Wapato lake at around 3:00pm. Again to heavy winds, white caps, the consolation prize being no rain!. Was definitely blowing a consistent 20mph. Parking lot had 3 vehicles with trailers. All appeared to be in spiny ray mode, tossing their gear tight to cover.
Fish were at the same depth as yesterday, and co-operative like the day before. We used dick nites, and wee hot shots lures on downriggers, no bait. Kept one limit, released another limit. We would be here another day, and did not know what the Lake Chelan wind would be like. By leaving ourselves one trout limit short for the trip, we left either lake as an option for a half day of fishing on Sunday.
