Work got pushed to later tonight so I decided to load up Gator and head on down to Lake Meridian. Started trolling with the dick nite clown dodger and red wedding ring tipped with corn. Caught 3 Kokanee within a 30 minute wiindow all in the 15 inch range and thick. Then I had to stop and deal with this release clip yet again (new one is on its way). After losing about 45 min of fishing I get my setup back in the water, trolled for a bit then I wanted to check my gear and notcied the clip was not releasing AGAIN. As I started cranking up the downrigger ball I see a koke shoot right out of the water and starts dancing on the surface. To my surprise it was on my line so I get the release clip off and reeled in my 4th. Just when I thought the chaos was over I get snagged out of no where in thee middle of the lake. Lost my dodger and wedding ring. That being said the 5th fish came on a pink splatter and pink kokabow lure scented with anise-krill and tipped with corn of course. Went 5 for 5 without losing any. Great day of fishing and I finally got my first limit of kokes which happened to be plump ones for Meridian! Smallest of the bunch was 12.5 inches. Biggest was just shy of 16 inches. Tight Lines to you all and Huge thanks to everyone that took the time to share their knowledge on this fishery.
