Another tough day (I'm up to I think six reports rated three or below this year, and none above).
Picked up one perch fairly quickly running a bottom walker in ~35 feet of water, and had a fair number of bites (but couldn't pick up fish). Then moved in close outside the weedbeds, and tried for bluegill/perch/crappie. Picked up a number of microbass, no perch, no crappie, and (after quite a while), some micro-bluegill.
Came home with my lonely perch, and about six bluegill of marginal size.
A bit puzzled just how bad the spiny ray fishing is right now, given that the solunars and weather really ought to be pretty good. Alas....
