Went fishing again at Sammamish today. Still feeling sick, but body doesn't ache as much.

Pretty sure I bumped into a WALA member at the launch..... Which one of you was it? LOL

At the launch, water was pretty smooth, halfway up the lake, a slight breeze with perfect water ripples. I'm thinking yes, this is excellent spinnerbait action. I haven't used them all year. Pulled up to a spot and started working the spinnerbait. Got a swat from something, but didnt stick. Thinking perch. After about 10 mins, the wind died down.... Went to the swimbait, tube, football jig and dropshot. Didn't take long before I had a nice strike on the swimbait, but couldn't stick it. It was ~14-15" SMB. 1st catch of the day was a small SMB, 13", on a swimbait.

Caught a handful of smaller dinks on tubes. Caught several more small ones on swimbait. Couldn't get anything on my other lures, even the dropshot.

I see another boat up the ways heading my direction. I continue along until there was only about 3 or 4 docks between us. I decided I go across to the other side of the lake.

Wow, here's the wind I was looking for. Started off with the spinnerbait again and nada. Tried the swimbait but it wasn't getting the depth I wanted, due to the wind. Tied on a heavier weight and didn't take long to get a nice strike. Biggest SMB of the day so far, 17" @ 2lb 7oz.

Tried using the tube on the deeper docks, but no action from it. Not to mention, I couldn't quite stay still with the wind blowing pretty good. Tried the heavier football jig, but nada except from the perch.

At noon, the wife called up and wanted to have lunch at the lake and hang out. Picked her up at the beach. Ate lunch on the water. Watched a helicopter land on some baller's backyard. I fished a bit more. Caught a couple more dinks and a squaw. I was just thinking, I haven't seen a squaw all day too, lol.

Then we just chilled in the sun for a bit and relaxed. It felt pretty toasty, so powered up the boat and got a nice breeze going. Stopped off near the stump field and started trolling for trout, using a wedding ring. Start packing up the rest of the stuff.

Didn't see much on sonar at all, on the usual path. Halfway across the lake, I see something unusual on the bottom of sonar and I do see some fish suspended. Pole starts dancing and the wife grabs it. She says it's still on, but feels small. I'm thinking maybe a small trout then. Get it closer and see it's a small kokanee. Quickly released at boat side.

Continue along and not too long afterwards, get another strike. This time I get to grab the rod. Feels like a better fish. It's staying way down too. Get it closer and see it's a nice cutty. ~14" or so.

That was it for us.

Wife got sunburned pretty bad, lol. Didn't see how bad it was until we got home. Ouchy.
