I fished Keechelus on Saturday, June 6 and again on Thursday evening, June
11th. We trolled for kokanee just south of the main island off the boat ramp,
and came up with only one fish, a small one, taken at about 40 feet. Couldn't
find any schools of kokes to speak of.

We trolled the dam at the far northeast end of the lake for trout. We caught
five squawfish. There was a major bug hatch at around 2:30pm in the afternoon
(it was sunny and warm) and squawfish were literally jumping and rising all
over the end of the lake right in front of the dam. We could also clearly see
major schools of squaws passing underneath the boat. We must have seen 200 to
300 fish that afternoon, but all of them were squaws. We couldn't find any
trout, so we were content to bring out the fly rods and caught squaws all
afternoon on dry flies. Better than nothing, I suppose.

We fished late Thursday evening up there and again no kokes and saw lots of
squawfish. Cold and windy.
