Well. decided to sleep in a bit. then, off to the lake. started trolling about 930 am. used my rig, that worked so well last time. a DD dodger, with a gold spinner, and corn. #6 drop shot hook, followed by a #10 treble. its what it took to hook em and hold em last time. And this is where it gets real odd. i hooked and lost 13 straight fish. the last one, took off my treble. so i still hade the single. three more hits, three fish in the boat. lol. the fish were in only 48-55' of water. and i got em at 28-32" deep on the rigger. the ones i got, were over 12". one was 13". larry, a freind of mine, got some 15, and one 16". so, i know they are in there. one i lost, was that big. must be different class year, in different schools. and he told me, the big ones, are in the shallow water. so thats where i lost my first 13 fish. a nice breeze was on the lake. the bite was good. not the best, but good. many times, id pull it off the rigger, and hold my pole. tap tap!- hook set! works alot. or, putting the motor in newtral, and just let it sink. as soon as it was verticle, fish on! i am saving the fish. going to smoke em, halfway, then can in half pints. not sure, but fellow told me in a boat with a nice yamaha motor, to cut back on the bait. so i went from three kernals, to two. makes sense. last week, the fish were hitting it hard. today, not so hard. im going out tomoorrow, i think. not sure, if am, or pm, as near dark can be good also. im in the white 14' boat. says "kokes me" on the side. after 30 years of koke fishing, i never have become the boss. the fish allways are. i miss many of the fishes mistakes, and they never miss making me pay for mistakes. lol.

Nice job sounds like you did better without the trebble, way to stick with it.
