Fishingfool's report. lol

Went to spot 1, didn't catch anything, but lost a 1 1/2 pounder off the buzzbait after the Smallie jumped twice.

Went to spot 2, no bites on buzzbait or crankbait, too early to use a worm type.

Went to spot 3 - lost a 7" off the crankbait

Went to spot 3, but started fishing 100 yards from spot 3 as I wanted to sneak up on the actual spot, for reasons that'll be noted later.

Got to spot 3 and caught a 3.94 Largie on the buzzbait, a surprize fish for today.

Then got other fishies as I crankbaited and dropshotted my way back to the boat launch.

Now, back to the sneak. I 'started sneaking' where I did because 2 weeks ago I lost a big fish off the buzzbait. Today I was about 75 yards from spot 3 and the Big Fish struck. After fightiing the Largie for a few minutes and pulling the fishie out of the weeds a couple times I managed to land a 5.20 on the buzzbait.

So, I have my big fish for Aug. and can sleep in for the rest of the month. lol
