This report is late due to a yard sale.
We got to the launch to find out that they don’t open it until after 7am on the Thursday that we were there. We were on the water before 7am off by 10am so we could set up the yard sale. We attained our normal limits but did not get the Alder Lake limits of 10 kokanee and 5 trout each.
Kim’s choice of lure was Wannafish A Lure Patriot because she used that the last time and it was successful. Which it was again but they were small so she changed out to a Gilded Lily and a Dick Nite Brass Chartreuse Tractor Tread UV Dodger hoping for larger fish. It was her day to attract the most small fish. I did snag a catfish on the back. How that happened I don’t know since I was not on the bottom.
I used the Orange and Gold again but one I used had a nickel blade swing blade on it. The other has a gold blade. I kept one rod ready to get it down quicker since we were getting the fish between 19-24 feet on the down riggers. I caught fish on both with Dick Nite’s Copper Hot Orange Tractor Tread UV Dodger and the Chrome Clown Scale UV Dodger.
We lost several at the boat and we tried a new to us area south of the launch.
The cutthroat flesh was as orange as the kokanee. Trolling was best about 1.3mph.
We are in a battle! Angler against fish! We need an arsenal of weapons and at my site you will find some of those different weapons. For all those who wannafish a lure come in and take a look at WannafishALure.com.
