Fishing for Lake Trout in Lake Chelan has been pretty good over the last week. We have been running mostly 4 hour trips. The mornings and evenings are best of course, but all three slots have been pretty productive. The best trip of this period was an evening trip. Go figure. Smearing our Squid rigs with Pautzke's Krill Juice and fronting them with a Mack's Lure Smile Blade has really triggered the bites. Consider stingers as our fish in the boat to bite ratio has shrunk during this period. As always bait the front hook with a piece of Pikeminnow and fish within 3 to 5 feet of the bottom at 1.2 mph. Go get 'em!
