Attempted to find Milk Lake this weekend with my father and son. Proceeded up Milk Creek Rd. off 410, but never found the lake. We did find Milk Pond, which was about 2 miles up Milk Creek Rd. We were told however, that Milk Lake is higher and that it should be accessible off the Milk Creek Rd. Went down several roads, although some which were too muddy to access without a Jeep or incredible nerves. Does anyone know the mile marker off Milk Creek Rd. or the actual road you take to access Milk Lake? I was told you could drive to it. Also, am I correct in stating that the water area down lower is in fact Milk Pond and not Milk Lake?
After about an hour and a half or searching, we ended up swinging over to White Pass and going to Lost Lake. Lost Lake is off of the Tieton Road on US 12. We were there for about 3 hours and caught 7 trout (3-4 got away). The trout were a little smaller (7-10), but beautiful in color - red. We were fishing off the bottom with powerbait (yellow and green, Red/white/blue) worked best. No luck with worms.
Limited out on trout at Clear Lake (off US 12) the two weekends before off the bank.
If anyone knows more about Milk Lake, please post and let me know. Thanks and good fishing!
*Editor's note. The only info I found on Milk lake is posted above. I found no info on Milk Pond. Perhaps they are the same?
