Got to the lake around 6:00 and fished until around 1030. We had 4 lines from 20 to 40 ft down in 40 to 80ft of water. Got the most hit in the east end of the lake. Most fish on a red and green wedding ring, but also got fish on a bare hook one pink and one green. Most came from the top line, so around 25 ft. I was using yellow fire corn with garlic on the wedding ring and red fire corn on a wiggle hoochie. After a while they stopped hitting the bare hooks so I put yellow corn and garlic on the colored hooks and got more hits on that. The bare hooks were run about 1ft behind the dogger. Speed was 1.1 to 1.4.
We got 9 and were looking for number 10 when I snagged something and spent some time retrieving a cut off line and anchor. So I got an ok shape dogger and an anchor for my trouble. My wife thinks I am the only one who keeps snagging things with my down rigger and bringing them up. This was the third time in 6 trips out. I got an old crab pot at dash point on monday, the game dept said to drag it up to shallow water and they would pick it up.
