Put in at 8 AM and turned north out of the ramp. At the first hole had a fish on. 13" rainbow committed suicide. Trolled further up lake and we were hit several more times. Water temp at surfaced ranged from 61 to 68 F. We used worms and/or red sparkle power bait. Mr. Deckhand tried a number of combinations of bait and color to find this combination gave the best result. I used a brass on brass spinner on 30 inch leader and 3/16 weight to get the bait about 4 feet down. Out fished Mr. Deckhand 6 to 1, but he landed the big fish of the day a 2.5 lb. rainbow. Caught 1 bass, rather small, and C&Rd. Caught maybe 12 or more rainbow several very small, don't know why they bit and stayed on the hook they were so small. 6 or so were nice keeper size and we took just enough home for dinner.
