This will cover trips from 8/21 to 8/25. The early (first hour of light) bite on the Bar is getting a bit better. We are then moving to the tip of Wapato Pt.; the face of Manson Bay; or the Barrens just uplake from the trench to catch fish. We have moved almost exclusively to baited squid rigs. We are using either 3" B2 glow squids or 3.5" glow green Silver Horde Needlefish Squids. We rig them with a big Mack's Lure Glow Smile Blade in front and bait them with a piece of Northern Pikeminnow. We tie tandem 2/0 Matzuo sickle hooks about 2" apart. As always fish within 5 feet of the bottom. Target 1.3 mph as your trolling speed. If you don't get bit in 30 minutes, change locations. As summer has softened we are moving into the best weather of the year. See you on the water.
