Decided to start the day off on a point with pilings. As I was sneaking up to the area, I saw my sonar light up at 30'. Marked it quickly and used swimbait and cranks around the point. Then the DS. Got a few swipes and nips from perch. After about not producing any bass there, I started backing up towards where I marked fish.
1st fish was a dandy of a perch on DS. Almost 11". Fan casting around the area and I get a nice bite. Pull up a 14" SMB in 32' of water. Caught a couple more nice perch.
Moving upwards on the lake. Got a 16" SMB to hit the DS in 22' of water. Get me a dink in about 15' in the same area.
Stopped off at farthole. Didn't produce any bass for me today. Caught another nice perch there. Then caught a 16" squawfish on the DS. Pretty sure it's my first squaw on DS. Saw the fish on sonar. Dropped the DS straight down. A couple of jigs and it bites! Misses. Immediately lowered rod and it bites again and fish on! It was one of the more feisty squaws I've caught. Thought it was a large perch. It was even flopping around in the net afterwards. They usually just play dead for me.
Continue up north and caught more dinks and 1 at 13".
Started heading back south and caught more dinks ,a couple 12-13" and some bait size.
One of the smaller fish spit out a sculpin at me.
Protip. Don't wear a black shirt when it's suppose to be hot out.
