Fished Lk Washington for second day in a row. Thought I might get lucky and catch some cuts 2 days in a row, or maybe a big rainbow. Not to be. Headed for south end of Mercer Island from Kenmore about 6:30. Going past Magnuson Park I happened to look at the gas gauge. Dead on empty. Wife is going to love this phone call.

Decided since I was going to run out of gas anyway maybe could make a couple passes between Magnuson and Wolf Bay. Actually made about 4 passes and nada thing. Where did they go, it was hot here yesterday. Turned around to try and head for home at Wolf Bay and BAM! Fish on finally. Felt like a pretty big one. Got it up to the boat and what the heck? A pig of a small mouth!!!!!

I dont know anythiing about bass or bass fishing but to catch one trolling with a wedding ring and flasher seems unusual. Anyway I think its a pretty nice one. Anybody have any idea how much it may have weighed? Gave ms. bass a kiss and sent her on her way.

Headed for Kenmore. Motor died at the mouth of the slough. Had 1 carb full of gas in the trolling motor. It died just at the boat launch. Filled the boat on the way home.
