Arrived at Noon to check out this lake I've never fished. I know I was dreaming that I might scare up a trout or two but my dream vanished when I saw the water temperature was 75 degrees at the surface. Trolled a wooly bugger and muddler around the lake for a couple hours and caught six pan sized bass to 11" which were returned to the water to grow just a bit bigger. Best fishing was near shore under 10' of water around weeds or structures. This time of year the lake gets considerable boat traffic with skiers and tubing present. Of course, when warm weather vanishes boaters will also disappear for improved fishing prospects. I'll return here but not until water temperature cools. Surprisingly, there was no algae bloom on the lake, the water was clear and submerged structures relatively easy to locate. I can easily see why this is a popular lake. Also, the WDFW boat launch is easy to locate and you needn't wait for the boat ramp to be available; the entire shore area has a gentle sloping gravel bottom from which you can launch most mid-sized or smaller boats. Lots to like about this lake,
