Spent three nights camping at Lake Takhlakh last weekend and moored the pontoon lakeside for the entire time, taking it out occasionally over the course of the weekend. The weather was wet all of Saturday but the fish were still biting powerbait from the bottom out in the middle, deeper part of the lake. I had about 30 feet of anchor line and using that determined that the lake never got deeper than 20-25 feet, which was a surprise for an alpine lake. The sky cleared and the mountain finally came out on Sunday. It's a beautiful spot and a very manageable in a pontoon. Other anglers were also catching fish from shore as well, and I saw a couple fly fisherman landing trout from their pontoons.
