I was in anticipation for this day to be like yesterday. NOT!!
I started at 7:30am. It wasn’t until after 8 before I got a bite and then turned it into a koke in the boat. She liked the pink still-fishing spinner that had real maggots and red eggs.
I moved twice on the north side of the lake. Around 9am I moved to the south side of the lake. This is where I caught the last of my limit. The water has cooled down and now the trout are biting again.
Today I lost fish. Two came off as they were coming up. I saw them. Another took off under the boat while I was striping in the line. He wrapped my line around the anchor. The last was a fighter with a capital F. I had tightened my drag and this fish took line going under the boat and then it was gone.
It was sunny with very little wind. I left around 10:30 after giving a fellow boater a few maggots.
