After spending 3 hours getting 4 kokanee (and a trout that was C&R) yesterday, I resolved to conquer those fish today in a shorter period of time because I needed to mow my lawn and get other things done.
My plan was to get anchored on the south side of the lake, chumming as I was getting stuff ready.
I floated over the 30 feet of water into 40’s by the buoy. Anchored, chummed as I got things ready. Casted out and looked at my watch. It was 7:15am. Not to much of an earlier start.
I had my first fish in the boat by 7:25am on a Wannafish A Lure Still-fishing spinner in pink with real maggot and red salmon egg.
Summary: Five koke in the boat by 8:05am.
There was a breeze the time I was on the lake and it was mostly cloudy. We had a shower during the night. Water temp when I started was 67 and was 68 as I left.
