Spent a few hours on the lake with no luck several day ago, and went back out yesterday morning, with similar results... Until I went to ask advice from another fisherman anchored up near bankers island. Not only was he catching fish, but he showed me how he was catching fish and gave me a bag of the grubs he was catching fish with!
This was towards the end of the day, but I still caught a few bass, thanks to the cool guy in the pontoon boat. Hopefully I'll be able to pass the favor along.
I was seeing allot of fish in the 30 ft range, but catching fish in the 15 ft range. water level has dropped by 4 ft. I have never seen so many big fish jumping out of the water on lake tapps, not sure what they were. I had my best luck with the 3" light brown metal flake curly tail grubs, rigged up on a Carolina rig. Pulled the boat for the season, was almost hanging from the dock when I got there! Gonna go out to lake 12 this evening.
