My son and I went to Lake Aberdeen on opening day 4/28/01 we arrived at about 5:45am and there was already the usual crowd on hand. But we couldn't believe it when our usual spot along the bank was still open so we jumped in there and started to fish, I threw my line in first and set my pole down to bait my sons pole and when I turned around my pole was almost gone into the lake. By the time I set the hook whatever it was, was gone!
To make a long story short my son ended up catching two brood stock trout one was 5.18lbs and the other was 4.87lbs and these fish were surprisingly bright and very delicious I might add. My son also caught 3 respectable trout for a limit and of course good old dad was skunked, again!
