So after my 2 coho on the Duwamish this morning decided I was going to treat myself to a complete day of fishing since I had worked my butt off all week with work and everyday I drive by Lake WA it was like a sheet of glass! Got home around 10:30 and hooked up the Tin Cup to the truck, grabbed some herring and was on my way to Coulon park launch. I debated driving up to the north end and trying there for Coho's but chose to stay closer to home as I was still leery that something may go sideways with work and would need to be home quickly.
Launched at noon and headed straight over to the west side of Mercer island and started my troll north. I won't run through all the gear I tried but threw everything I had at them and didn't get a bump but what a nice day to spend out on the lake as work never called, and had my radio with me so was able to listen to sports all day and relax!
Got back to the launch at 6:15 and after getting the boat out and buttoned down looked at the sunset and decided I was pretty hungry so went and ordered some halibut and chips at Ivar's and enjoyed a nice dinner and sunset on the deck overlooking the lake! Nice end to a great day even though too productive on the fishing side of things!
I do have a question that sort of puzzled me today as I was out there: what is the rule when let's say since I caught an adult and a jack coho on the green, what would I be able to catch and keep on Lake WA if I was actually targeting them up north where G-man has been tearing it up?? I have always thought it was bag limit but there are so many different limits on different bodies of water so was not sure what limit you go by.
Thanks for reading and be safe out there!
