Decided to try my hand at perch fishing for the first time today in Lake Washington, as I've heard they're abundant there. I setup what I figured would make a good perch rig from what I had in my box-- a powerbait honey worm on a dropshot. Started at around 8am, fishing in the weeds at the north end of the lake. Caught one small perch and had some nibbles (I think they were too small for the #8 hook I had on). After about an hour, I decided to head to deeper water. At around 30 ft of water, I started catching perch in the 8-10 inch range. Ended the day with 15 perch, should make for a good meal. Next time I go for perch, I'll pick up some nightcrawlers, as I've heard that works quite well.
