Tried to target carp in this lake, didn't have any dough baits yet so I used something called Berkley Alive! corn. Didn't realize until about 2.5 hrs in, that it was only an attractant. If I understand correctly, it is used in conjunction with actual corn. Morning was cloudy and slight passing rain. Park was fairly empty but traffic outside the park was pretty backed up.
What I typically look for in a carp lake, are movement like swirls or bubbles. I saw both, although I'm fairly convinced the bubbles may have been just trapped air underground. Also, because this park is heavily infested with Canadian Geese, as they flew low, I could see something getting startled, and these were big swirls. So I'm guessing the carp are there, just don't know what they are akin to biting. I'll be back if I have no luck at Green Lake.
Overall, had a nice time and managed to hook something!
I'll post a picture of my catch.
