My buddy and I really needed a win today and found that Angle lake got stocked with a bunch of fish. We got there around 8am and fished till 2pm on my raft. It was awesome. There wasn't a whole lot of fish jumping but they're out there. I used a small marine battery to push us on the trolling motor. That was a mistake. It lasted about 3 hours and I was rowing the rest of the time. Although, it was still good exercise. We always go barbless and caught and released dozens of fish. We kept 10 that seemed to be a good size. We caught a lot only because we were dragging a bobber (the non slip kind) and a single 1/4 ounce split shot directly under it (for casting purposes) about 25ft behind the raft while we were trying to get to a good spot. As strange as it was we were only doing that cause we thought that it couldn't hurt and it was mostly a joke to us, since we could see the little pink gulp maggot right on the surface trailing 5-6ft behind the bobber bouncing in and out of the water. Needless to say, it worked and we just kept doing it all day.
