Started out with a bit of sunshine, but ended up with steady, heavy rain. Of course I looked at the early weather and left my rainpants at home....

All in all a pretty satisfying day. my son and I had the lake to ourselves and worked our way around the shore with a variety of techniques. I caught a decent bass on a Kopper Live Target mouse, then had another hit that I missed. I moved the boat and gave my son a shot at the missed fish with the bluegill crankbait he was throwing. He had a hard hit with only 15 feet of line out and things got exciting at the boat with the fish winning the battle at boatside in the confusion. It was somewhere north of 4# and would have been our best Lake Cassidy bass.

A few more small fish finished up the day. As usual CPR.
