So on Friday evening, hoping for a repeat of Tuesday, I skipped my workout and headed for Ballinger instead. Again, I had 1 hour of daylight give or take.

This time the wind was acting up again, only differently. This time it was blowing me basically parallel with the lake,straight down the middle. Well, I made a bad decision and decided to drift right away and go straight down the middle. Nothing on fish finder, no bites. Finally I relocated over by the island and again drifted south.

JUST as it was dark, and I was trying to convince myself to reel up and go home skunked, the fish gods blessed me with the gorgeous cutthroat in the pic.

It wasn't a 4 fish in 1 hour bonanza like 3 days previous, but I was quite pleased to end on such a positive note.
