Went out in the rain and wind to rattlesnake lake and it didn't disappoint. Noticed they stocked it so thought I would drive the short distance to take a look at these steelhead smolt.

Lets just say they're fish everywhere and are very easy to catch. I have always done very well at this lake before they stock it but today was insane. Water level is way down so casting around the stumps was a guarantee pretty much. Caught 24 and must of had 50 other bites and short hookups in the short time I was there. Was using 1/4 oz kastmaster spoons and spinners and almost every cast I would have a bite or see fish follow it, sometimes battling each other for my spoon/spinner. Caught a hand full of 16 inchers with the rest around 12-14 inches. Some fish fought really hard and some just laid there like logs. Osprey and eagles were feasting even in the heavy wind and rain which was pretty cool to watch. All fish were released to see another day. Sorry no pics, didn't want to take my phone out and get it wet.
