Got to Beaver just before noon with a few friends. We started from the north end on a floating dock and slowly motored towards the launch. There were ALOT of boats out, even on the north end. Didn't see a fish caught by anyone for over an hour. We tried worms, PB, PB eggs, and spoons... PB had some soft bites with no hook ups. At 3pm another boat hooked two at once on char PE so I switched one pole over to that... Fish on in 5 min at a glacial troll... It was a 12 incher! What? Dumb luck. We nestled the dock in the cove and proceeded to limit with jumbos in an hour + with orange, red, and char PE. 8 jumbos and one "regular" rainbow. A little shrimp oil on the PE definitely drew more hits quicker... But the evening bite was on regardless after 3. Limited, but it took over 4 hours. My friends had a blast with these huge trout. Tight lines!
