Fishing baited Squid rigs off the bottom continues to be the go to method for trolling up our lakers. The trench from 220 to 245 feet work best. These fish are stuffed full of mysis shrimp and are delectable on the grill. Use a glow colored Mack's Lure Smile Blade and bait the squiddy with a chunk of Northern Pikeminnow to give them something to chew on. Scent everything with Pautzke's Krill Juice. Speeds between .8 and 1.3 mph have been most productive.
There have also been some nice holdover triploid rainbows come out of Mill Bay on Lake Chelan
FYI: WDFW did their annual winter plant in Roses Lake. About 16,000 rainbows at about 2.4 to the pound (app. 9" fish) were stocked. Shore anglers are catching them quickly with Doughbaits. We prefer Pautzke's Firebait. If you have small kids and are in the valley over Thanksgiving, this could give you a nice outing for fast action.
Good Luck!
