Thanks to the Phillipsborn clan for fishing with Jeff. The little Chinook bit right away. What a pretty fish. The shot of the fillets are from a laker to show what the meat of our lower basin Mackinaw look like. Amazingly red meat!

Fishing the lower basin from 190 to 245 produced the fish. It was somewhat windy, but still productive. With the wind, it was nice the cold snap has ended.

Working tight to the bottom with Pikeminnow baited squid rigs at 1.2 mph continues to trigger the bites. What a great way to spend some time and get some fish!
