Since I had all 4 of my kids(18-23 years) we left american lake and headed back to Fenwick. Started out slow. Then after about an hour first fish was landed. Pretty sure he was using rainbow PE. Took my oldest daughter down to the rickity old floating dock and tried something new. Using one of the little water weight bobbers I filled it and saw that it would sink very slowly. So with orange PE and a worm i throw it out and watch as the line slowly sinks, all of a sudden the line takes off fish on. Biggest of the day at a little over 13 inches. Of course i forgot my stringer down at the other dock with the kids so I had to carry it back down there. And wasnt smart enough to take a stringer back. Next cast same thing sinking about 30 seconds and wham another. This time I brough the stringer back. About then my son caught his 2nd down at the other dock. Spent some time setting the girls up down by me, missed a few bites on my line, buggers took my bait. Had 1 grab the hook when I reeled in and didnt notice until he was right there, he shook it and took off. Next fish on shortly after that I let one of the girls reell it in and call it hers. Proceeded to get 4 more. Family total only 9 fish(between 5 of us) but what a day. Spent with all of my kids and we took home a great dinner.
