Debating when I woke up after I saw the snow, after making breakfast told the wife, I need to go,..was not windy when I left, but that changed when I got on I-5. Wow, gusty, got to my usual dock, 65th St @ about 1030 and saw 3 of regs,..dock was iced up, waves crashing over, but what the heck, I'm there!! Cast as far as my 1/2 oz weight can go on both poles, 3' leader with pe/pb on both, fighting the head winds hitting my face, chair almost blew in twice. finally about 11 I get a nice hit, set the hook, knew this was not your ordinary fish, had one of the guys net it for me, 19" trip!! This made it worth it, 2 other guys been there since 7 & 8 had nothing, yikes!! 15 minutes later my other poles starts dancing, set the hook, 14" steely,..called it a day @ 12, cleaned both fish, hands frozen after that, had trouble packing up. As I was walking to my car I hear a crackling sound, look up towards Green Lake Way and saw a tree branch break off, close to the street, luckily no one or cars got hit. Normally don't like fishing when it's this gusty, can't complain, came away with 2 nice ones
