2/15/2015 9:50:00 AMThe trick for predators who eat their prey whole is to eat it head first. Then scales, spines, etc., are all pointed away and the prey goes down easily. That is why you can put your hook through the 'head' of you bait, as the fish will instinctively go for the head in an attempt to swallow their prey in a manner to avoid those spines.
