Arrived at the lake at 6am .It was nice and flat with hardly any wind. I got my gear together and had my little boat in the water in no time and began to troll on my way to the island . I launched from the community center so it took a bit to reach the spot. Water temp was a nice 41 .I started to troll at about 2 feet off the bottom, this is first time that I am trying a set of hot wings with a flat fish on a slow troll , all I can say is WOW ! first bite came at about 7:45 and was a nice 12 inch steelhead, the next one was my best of the day and was a 16 inch rainbow ,was a hen and quite plump, over the next 90 min I caught 2 more steelhead and lost 1 ,the bite seemed to be over about 9:00. my arms gave out about 2 hrs later so I called it a day. didn t see any other people fishing in any boats
