Launched my boat at the boat rental dock at 6am was fishing by 6:30 had 1 tiny bite around 7:30 and that was it for the day . Stopped fishing around 11. Saw 2 other boaters fishing between them they caught 2 steelheads. My own thoughts are that it was too nice today I think that most of the bows have been fished out and as we know the steelheads don t like sunshine ,most of the fish I marked were on the bottom . the lake is still pretty clear I could see my flashed to a depth of about 7 feet. Other then having no fish it was a beautiful day on the lake Tight lines and take a child fishing

Sorry to be so snobby but just cause their parents were steelhead doesn't mean they are. They are rainbow trout until they hit the salt which they then become steelhead (which is just terminology for searun rainbow).

And yes I do know steelhead smolts were put on several lakes this year but to be correct they should still be called rainbows
