Arrived at Hayden lake today for the first time to try some kokanee fishing. saw the last report and decided that it would be worth it. kokanee are all over fished 20 to 40 ft deep with dodger and green wedding ring with white corn. had to work pretty hard to bring the kokanee to the boat hooked 10 or so but only got 2. at the launch ran into some really nice people who gave us some pointers and three fish. hope to get out there soon to try to do better. All in all an amazingly beautiful day; I hope to see you out there

Nice job, just take your time reeling them in don't horse them around. Might try a snubber if your not using one already. Do some research on the forum and you will find some great write ups by other members that will point you in the right direction this is how I learned and then it just a matter of set, catch, land, eat and repeat. The repeat part is the clue, find what works and keep repeating it over and over. You may have to change colors but speed and patterns and where you find the fish seem to stay true for kokes. Good luck to you and tight lines and enjoy that wonderful lake you guys have its a nice one.
