Beautiful day out on the water today, although I was an hour late to meet my brother at the launch. I assumed that my phone would adjust for daylight savings, it didn't.
Launched at 8am headed to south Mercer. Hit our first 10" Kokanee 25 min. in. and lost him at the net! He did one of those teeter totter moves on the rim of the net, shook the hook, saw his chance, and took it.
About 30 min later I hooked a 17" cutty right in the kisser. "Get in my belly" !!
Hooked another Koke an hour later and again, he shook the hook and split.
All in all, a great day with my brother. We used some new gear today. I can't remember what its called and I'm stuck on my couch so I'm not getting up :-). It's about 2" long curved plastic with a small rattle on the bottom. Worked well. Eli's line was a wedding ring and corn.
Fished between 15' and 40'. Hit all around 25'. Used herring sent too.
Happy Fishing. Until next week, tight lines!
