Launched my boat at 6 am , it was calm ,cold and beautiful on the lake although quite dark, I motored over to the island and drank a cup of joe waiting for the sun to come up . It got light enough to start trolling about 6:50 of so . Got 2 small taps on the pole before the fog rolled in , it got pretty thick for a bit , it was a good thing there were so many crows on the island I used the noise to navigate in the cove . With the fog came the bite , I hooked up with 8 nice fish and managed to get 3 that accepted my invitation for dinner , I also had between 10 and 15 solid hits that just didn't get stuck. Which amazes me is how they can hit the lure steal the worm and not get stuck , I get stuck with the darn things just by looking at them . When the fog lifted the bite slowed down but was still there , I had several more hook ups and several controlled releases ( they hit the net and spit the lure ) . The wind picked up around 11:30 and my boat was getting hard to control and maintain speed . I left the lake about 1:00 It was a great day for fishing
