Started out at about 8 and fished until noon. We caught 18 walleye with all but 3 fish released. We only keep fish 16" and bigger. Two of the keepers were 17' and My son got a 20". The winds were a little gusty for a couple hours and then the sun came out and cleared the clouds and the winds calmed down. For us the bite seemed to stop once the sun came out.

We trolled at the perch point area in about 30' of water. Fish were caught on slow death with a green smile blade and a black and gold spinner that I made myself. Lots of smalleyes to keep my 7 yr old busy and happy. All in all, a good day to be on the water, the fishing was good, just a lot of small ones.

Perch point? Sounds like a spot for my father-in-law!
