Met my partner and his daughter at the North launch about 1pm. The wind was picking up but not a show stopper. We trolled north of the island and north bay, but no luck on Koks. We did pick up a rainbow on downriggers, but that was it for the day. We got off the lake at 4pm.
I couldn't find anything that looked like Kok schools, and only found 1-2 at a time near bottom in deep water, and no takers. I only noticed about 4-7 boats fishing, and the few guys I talked with weren't doing any better.
I tricked out my Livingston after it sat all winter, and had a good run with it. I'm getting set to try my luck at Halibut in a few more weeks. Got a 65lb 2 yrs ago and a 35lb last year out of Neah Bay on my Livingston, and plan on 3-4 trips this season.
Anyway, the fishing was a 2, but the experience with a friend and his daughter made it a 5.
See ya on the water.
Enjoy
