I needed to get some wilderness time, so I took my canoe to Rimrock lake for my first mountain trip of the season. Last year I caught several fish a certain part of the lake at the beginning of May. I though that with the mild winter maybe I could catch some in April but no. I thought I had one bite, but my anti-reverse was off so I couldn't tell.Tried a spoon and spinner for 1-2 hours with not luck. It was nice to get out, very peaceful and saw and heard lots of birds, but no fish. Air temp was about 45-55 it seemed like, I don't know about the water.
