Fished Long lake (spokane) from 10 am to 2 pm. Fishing was great, weather was ok, some period of wind and light hail but nothing terrible. I ran from the confluence launch to the dam since I am protesting Willow Bay's insane launch price. On my way down I saw a state worker at the corkscrew canyon park/launch. Swung in and spoke with her and she informed me the park/launch is now open!!! No more 40 minute boat rides! Trolled an orange squidder behind a dodger and straight lined a mepps scyclops, I stopped counting how many fish I released after 12, I would estimate I never went longer than 15 minutes without a hookup, the majority of the time it was much closer to every 5, several fish caught while letting the lures out. This is my 6th trip in the last month and every time has been the same, all the fish are 14-16". I am fishing anywhere from the 30' beach area in between the campsites to 90' by the dam, lures are down about 10-15 feet. I hate to complain but I need to figure out how to get past these planters so I can catch bigger fish! Another great day, the kids have been loving it!
