Had the day off and the wife wanted to go fishing after the kids got on the bus. She did not want to go far so we could make it home when the kids got out of school so we headed to American. Started out sunny with a slight breeze at 9:30 but I knew a front was coming. When we left at 3:00 it was pretty cloudy and the wind was blowing pretty good out of the south. Water temp was about 58.7 deg. Tried a few spots caught a few dinks and a rock bass. Had a nice one follow my jerk bait but would not take it. Was seeing some beds but not seeing any fish around them. Decided to fish around some docks in the north end and started slamming the with grubs, tubes and senkos. Caught about 10 then had to go. Of course the wife caught the biggest 2.8lb to beat my best 2.6 lb. but that's ok. Gave it a 4 cause we caught a few but I got to fish with my best partner.
