I rowed out in my little yellow raft in the evening and had a little over an hour to fish. Caught my limit of 3 (instead of 5- regs for this lake) they were biting nicely. Saw them popping up... rowed right to the spot, caught them fairly quickly and went home to take care of them. Had a great time! the 2 smaller ones are 10" and the bnigger one is 12". the larger one seemed to be a hold-over from last year instead of a triploid. the triploids that I caught last year at this lake were WAY bigger... anywhere from 16"-20" (2 1/2lbs-3lbs)

Last year I wound up with a freezer full of fish to tide me over for the winter. I had made the mistake of freezing them in one big chunk in a large freezer bag and wound up having to defrost the entire bag when I was ready ot eat them. this year, I'm individually wrapping them in parchment paper to keep the fresher and I can also write right on the paper which lake it came from, the date, size etc... I'm sure many of you already have a plan of how to store your fish well for future eating... but figured I'd share what I'm doing this year. It's all trial and error... more error and more trial.. and then- something goes right! :)

One thing for sure... I will be fishing more 7 i will happily stock my freezer again this year.
